Sustainability Intern to CapMan, Helsinki

This is an opportunity for you to join CapMan in the role as Sustainability Intern as part of the Sustainability team.
About the team
The CapMan Sustainability team consists of seven sustainability professionals based in Helsinki and Stockholm. Most team members are specialised in our respective asset classes and aligned to one investment team, we also have a dedicated sustainability data resource. The team is responsible for developing and driving the ambitious sustainability strategy across CapMan.
We are now looking to recruit a part-time Sustainability Intern to join our Helsinki office.
About the role
You will have the opportunity to gain insight into sustainability in private markets and be involved in sustainability reporting across our investment teams and portfolio companies as well as assisting the sustainability team in their daily work. This position provides an ideal opportunity to develop your skills and learn about the day-to-day sustainability work in real assets and private equity.
As a Sustainability Intern, you will participate in various activities related to sustainability reporting, including:
Evaluating updates to sustainability KPIs/questionnaires
Managing the sustainability data platform
Checking that new portfolio companies have access to the platform + checking if existing company contacts in the platform are correct
Organise and hold training on reporting, data collection and KPIs for portfolio companies
Organise and assist in platform training for portfolio companies
Ongoing support for companies with any questions regarding data collection and calculations
Coordinating the reporting process together with sustainability team
Data checks with companies and corrections to the platform
Assist the investment teams with annual SFDR disclosures
Assist the Sustainability team in their daily work and in sustainability development projects
Potentially assist in sustainability communication and marketing materials
Who you are
To be successful in this role we believe that you:
Are at the later stage of your academic career in Sustainability, Finance, Law, Economics, or related fields.
Have prior experience from one or more internships in sustainability reporting, investment banking, private equity, management consulting or related fields
Demonstrate strong drive, initiative, and problem-solving skills, along with a desire for continuous learning
Have an analytical and detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Have proficiency in English and preferably Finnish

Our recruitment process
