About the team

In CapMan Real Estate we execute both value add and stable income-focused investment strategies across all major property sectors in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Our active value-add funds seek to acquire transitional properties in the most liquid Nordic markets where an asset can be enhanced by active rental and cost management, investments in redevelopment, change of use, or repositioning. Our funds and mandates targeting stable income focuses on well-located, high-quality investments that generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our investors across market cycles. Our Nordic Real Estate operations include approximately 80 committed real estate investment professionals. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and value creation, we have established a solid reputation for delivering exceptional results and are dedicated to driving superior returns for our investors.

About the role

As an Investment Associate in our Copenhagen-based Real Estate team, you will be involved across the full investment lifecycle – from sourcing and screening new opportunities to underwriting, executing transactions and supporting the ongoing asset management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include e.g.:

• Sourcing and screening investment opportunities across residential, hotel, logistics and office segment.

• Preparing investment memoranda and present cases to the Investment Committee

• Lead and support transaction processes, from due diligence and negotiation to closing.

• Monitoring macroeconomic developments and real estate market trends across the Nordic markets.

• Contributing to the asset management and execution of business plans during the holding period.

• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, advisors and relevant market participants.

You will work closely with experienced investment and asset management professionals in our Copenhagen office and collaborate across CapMan’s wider Nordic Real Estate platform, as well as with external advisors, brokers and financing partners. It is a hands-on role with broad exposure across both our value-add and income strategies. Success means quickly taking ownership of your own analyses, delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines, and growing into a trusted contributor whose judgement the team relies on when evaluating new opportunities.

Who you are

To be successful in this role we believe that you;

• Hold a master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, law or any other relevant field.

• Bring relevant work experience (ideally 2-4 years) – gained within real estate private equity, corporate and institutional real estate, real estate developer, or advisory companies with a real estate focus.

• Have strong analytical and financial modelling skills (beneficial, however not required).

• Structured process management and strong project execution skills.

• Can independently assess investment opportunities and form a well-reasoned view.

• Communicate clearly and professionally in Danish and English.

• Are self-driven, proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Enjoy working as part of a small, collaborative team and are eager to take on responsibility.

• Builds good relationships with colleagues, advisors and counterparties.

• Strong team player who collaborates well across functions.

• Ambitious and results-oriented, with both feet on the ground.
