This is an opportunity for you to join CapMan in the role as Investment Intern as part of the Natural Capital team.

About the team

The CapMan Natural Capital team consists of seven professionals based in Helsinki. CapMan Natural Capital is a specialist natural capital asset manager focused on sustainable forestry investments. We manage approximately 225,000 hectares of land across six EU countries, reinforcing our position as one of Europe’s leading independent forest asset managers. The team acquires and actively manages forest and land assets with the objective of delivering long-term risk-adjusted returns alongside measurable environmental outcomes, including climate change mitigation and biodiversity enhancement. CapMan Natural Capital is part of CapMan Plc, formed after acquisition of Dasos Capital in 2024.

We are now looking to recruit a full-time Investment Intern to join our Helsinki office.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to gain insight into the forest management and natural capital sector and be involved in everything from asset management to deal sourcing and execution, providing an ideal opportunity to develop your skills and learn about the day-to-day work in natural capital investments.

As an Investment Intern, you will participate in various activities related to forestry and natural capital investments, including:

• Doing market research and analysing market trends

• Creating fund marketing materials and other internal or external presentations

• Assisting in the analysis of new investment opportunities and preparation of investment presentations

• Assisting in financial modelling and valuation as part of the screening process of new investment opportunities

• Participating in due diligence processes for new acquisitions, according to possibilities

• Supporting in the value creation of existing portfolio companies by participating in day-to-day asset management, according to possibilities

• Collaborating on exciting business development projects to further CapMan Natural Capital’s impact

Who you are

To be successful in this role we believe that you;

• Are at least in the second year of your studies in Forestry Economics, Finance, Economics, or a related field in Finance.

• Have prior experience from one or more internships in forestry, investment banking, private equity, management consulting or related fields

• Demonstrate strong drive, initiative, and problem-solving skills, along with a desire for continuous learning

• Have an analytical and detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Possess hands-on financial modelling experience and solid understanding of corporate finance

• Are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously

• Have proficiency in English (required), knowledge in another Nordic language will be considered an advantage

Our recruitment process
