This is an opportunity for you to join CapMan in the role of a Student Analyst as part of the Real Estate team in Copenhagen.
About the team
In the CapMan Real Estate team we execute both value add and stable income-focused investment strategies across all major property sectors in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Our active value-add funds seek to acquire transitional properties in the most liquid Nordic markets where an asset can be enhanced by active rental and cost management, investments in redevelopment, change of use, or repositioning. Our funds and mandates targeting stable income focuses on well-located, high-quality investments that generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our investors across market cycles.
Our Nordic Real Estate operations include approximately 80 committed real estate investment professionals. With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and value creation, we have established a solid reputation for delivering exceptional results and are dedicated to driving superior returns for our investors.
About the role
As a Student Analyst in the Real Estate team in Copenhagen, you will participate in various activities relating to real estate investments and your tasks can include e.g.:
Participating in cash flow modelling of new investment opportunities using Excel
Investment presentation preparation of new investment opportunities or existing assets using PowerPoint
Preparing fund marketing materials
Preparing market research in varying subjects
Assisting in new acquisitions’ due diligence processes
Assisting with financial analysis, budgeting and reporting for investor updates
Monitoring property performance including leasing activity, rent collections, arrears, and tenant retention
Support preparing asset management plans in both existing and new investments
Coordinate with external partners including property managers, leasing agents, construction teams etc., in leasing, marketing, construction and tenant-related activities
Case-by-case participation in new interesting business development projects to develop CapMan Real Estate’s business and operations
Working hours: 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate studies, exams, and other academic commitments.
Who you are
To be successful in this role we believe that you:
are at a later stage of your Bachelor’s studies or studying for a Master’s degree in Economics, Business Economics, Finance, Law, Construction Management, or another relevant field of study
have a keen interest towards understanding investments, business, and financial markets and you are interested to learn how value is created in real estate
Ideally, you have gained experience in one or more of the following fields: real estate asset-, property- and portfolio management, commercial real estate advisory and transactions, construction and project management, corporate finance, or real estate law
have experience from real estate investment industry is also considered as an advantage
are a commercially oriented, proactive and analytical team-player with good problem-solving and numerical skills
have the drive for continuous development and eagerness to learn
are fluent in Danish. Proficiency in English is a requirement
